In 2008, PrimeStaff Healthcare officially changed its name to Acclivity Healthcare

The decision to change our name was initially prompted in early 2007, when our national expansion initiatives began. We quickly realized that several other, different, companies named Primestaff were already conducting business in many of the states we had targeted as possible new markets. Initially, we were not thrilled about the prospect of changing the name we had worked hard to make so well known in the healthcare community. After all, we had spent more than a decade building our reputation with top healthcare professionals and organizations as the premier healthcare recruiting and staffing firm. We quickly realized, however, that we had actually been handed a terrific opportunity to choose a new name that not only allowed for distinct brand recognition in all 50 states, but also better connected with the many other service upgrades and brand transformations that were already underway. Our main objective was to identify a name and create a brand that would truly embody our mission, goals, and values as a world class, healthcare specific, recruiting and staffing firm.

As the rising star of healthcare recruiting and staffing, we couldn’t think of a more suitable new name than Acclivity Healthcare. The word “Acclivity” literally means to climb, or to rise – and that’s exactly what we’re doing for ourselves and the healthcare professionals and organizations we serve!

While developing the new logo and brand we stayed conscious of the reality that a full name and brand change might cause many to assume that PrimeStaff had been bought out, or merged with another company. To dispel these ideas, we decided to maintain a few of our branding trademarks like our colors and our swooshing ribbon. Our collateral materials also emphasize that while our name and look may have changed, everything else about our organization remains the same.

Additionally, we refreshed our star and created a more modern feel by changing to sleeker lines and altering the positioning, while still maintaining the original shape that our Founder and President, Ted French, designed in his garage when PrimeStaff was little more than a great idea.
