Many Americans have experienced a rough few years. The news channels immerse us in a constant stream of bad news. “Yes, there are economic challenges, natural disasters, and human tragedy all around us! It’s easy to become fixated on bad news, but we must resist the impulse to focus on the negatives all around us.”

Dear Reader,

We would like to open this issue of The Acclivity Health Report by sending our warmest thoughts and best wishes to the millions of Americans that have been affected by Hurricane Irene. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the 43 storm victims that died, and we hope for the speedy recovery and rebuilding for all of the others challenged with damage and destruction to their personal property and businesses. Although the impact was severe for some and will be costly for many, we are thankful that the storm did not result in as much ferocity and loss of life as initially feared. We are also thankful that all of our valued employees, customers, and colleagues on the east coast were unharmed.

Sincerely,
The Acclivity Healthcare Team
