As the end of summer nears, our children have started the new school year, and all of us are looking forward to cooler weather right around the corner. Hopefully you were able to take a vacation over the summer and enjoy some down time with friends and family. We are entering into fall soon, and the jobs report for August looks similar to the weather – not too hot, not too cold. It’s solid, and more Americans are looking for work, which could ease worker shortages over time and defuse some of the inflationary pressures that the Fed has made its No. 1 mission.

In our very busy lives, many professionals find it difficult or even impossible to leave work at the office to take personal time. The stress and pressure of all the catch up work when returning can be overwhelming. We all feel the pressures and expectations in the workplace, however it’s important not to forget that achieving some level of ‘work/life’ balance is a key factor for happiness in life as well as long term professional achievement. This may be easier said than done, but it can be accomplished with the right plan! Professional success is a marathon, not a sprint!
