Welcome to the May edition of The Acclivity Health Report! During the month of May each year, there are several significant events held in honor of the dedicated individuals who work in the healthcare industry. We see these heroes in action every day so we wanted to recognize the dedication these professionals bring to their jobs each and every day to help improve the health and lives of so many.
National Nurses Week is celebrated in May to recognize the critically important role nurses play within the healthcare community. Since 1991, The American Nurses Association Board of Directors expanded the recognition of nurses to a week-long celebration. The final day of National Nurses Week, May 12th, is actually the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the English nurse who is known as the founder of professional nursing.
National Hospital Week has been celebrated during the second week of the month of May since 1921. This year, we recognize hospitals and the dedicated professionals who support the health and wellbeing of their communities.
The team here at Acclivity Healthcare would like to say ‘thank you’ to all the professionals and volunteers that make our industry so great!
